About Jamie Ferments
Jamie Ferments is a small business that’s run by Jamie, a professional cook, café owner and mandolin-playing extraordinaire.
He co-owns two cafés in South-East London, both called Arlo & Moe. The original branch was voted as Brockley’s best cafe in Time Out’s Love London Awards, and his second site in Hither Green was described by Time Out as “a firm family favourite.”
Jamie became fascinated by foods like kimchi and sauerkraut due to the complexity of flavours, but he soon started researching the link between gut biome and well-being, as he dived deeper into the world of natural fermentation.
He developed his first few recipes at home, before scaling up production in his café kitchens. After a year of testing his recipes on friends and customers, the first Jamie Ferments range was added to the café menu.
Due to popular demand, both of Jamie’s cafés began selling the range and soon there were a growing number of café and delis in South London asking to stock the range.
